You are not forgotten

The web design process usually starts with a couple of ideas and guidelines from the client’s side and much often the client has a certain website in mind which is then used as the substructure to create something new and original. Sometimes however, the client grants total freedom in matters of color schemes and the overall design of the website. Usually those are the most exciting projects, but on the other hand site the underlying risk, that you are totally off mark (like in this case) increase significantly.

I do not like to recycle these layouts later on, because i think every client deserves a custom-tailored design, and so they are doomed to drown in the deepness of my harddrive and to be completely forgotten eventually.

Why not give them a second chance instead of letting them rott offline and let them live online in the protected zone of my weblog? Well here we go! “You are not forgotten” is the newly created category under which i will post eyecandy that never made it live.

This is the initial layout for a website i am developing at the moment. I think it looked pretty decent, but in this case i am still happy that the client pushed for another version which turned out to look even better.
